PING G15 Driver

 

The latest in Ping’s G range of clubs the PING G15 Driver updates the technology that made the G10 driver the market leader. The PING G15 Driver is engineered for golfers seeking a maximum forgiveness driver that delivers distance and accuracy. Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING’s patented ultra thin crown technology. Weight savings from the thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity for higher trajectories and reduced spin. On the PING G15 Driver a larger face is designed to increase ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. The PING G15 Driver comes with new PING-designed TFC149D high balance point shaft which allows for a five gram increase in head mass (without increasing swingweight) which results in higher ball speeds and an increased moment of inertia.

  This PING G15 Driver is very good for people that are learning. It is very light and you have lots of varieties for the shaft acording to your game. I would recomend a graphite stiff shaft due to its big head (my personal choice). This big head, lightness and aerodinamic shape makes you feel more secure when you are about to start your backswing which is key to have a straight long shot.

  The PING G15 Driver remains at the forefront of technology when it comes to drivers. Easy to hit and very forgiving. Has to help golfers of every level of ability.

  This PING G15 Driver has a very forgiving face, which makes it feel like your not hitting a golf ball your hitting a bouncy ball. Then I launched it 270 my first drive with the club and with out a warm up.

  After much success with Pings G10 I decided to buy the G15. My G10 was 9 degrees but I found a G15 10.5 for cheap and went with it. The driver came with a Graffoly Prolaunch Red S. I have read a lot about this shaft and since my ball flight is high I thought it was a good fit on trying to flight it lower.

  I used g15 for real at Formby Golf club on a windy cold day I hit 9 out of 14 fairways finding the dead centre 6 times. This is the most consistent I have ever been. I have no hesitation in recommending this driver in either loft. The 12 degree works best for me.

  The club sits behind the ball very well and is visually confidence building – the half crescent alignment system has been slightly modified in the PING G15 Driver to look slightly more modern and fit in with then new red colour scheme – giving a solid look to address. The 460cc head still looks like a driver should do (I think it is slightly deeper at the back than the G10) and the club is extremely well balanced. In terms of performance it cannot be faulted – a solid feel and good sound at impact translate into a penetrating and long ball flight with impressive forgiveness on off centre hits.

  This is a great driver for any handicap golfer .I purchased 9* loft, stiff shaft and it the ball pops off the club.Trajectory is the best and a slight draw seems to come natural. My clubhead speed is around 105mph and I never hit 300 yard drives before and never kept the ball in the fairway like I do with the G 15.

  I purchased the PING G15 9degree with stock stiff TFC149 shaft 2 weeks ago. I've had the opportunity to play 3 rounds with the club and am extremely pleased with the performance. I also have a Titleist 909 D3 with a Graffaloy Pro Launch Red. The difference I've noticed is on non sweet spot hits the Ping G15 performs better with more distance and less dispersion from intended target.
